Introduction

Welcome to interns.ng, (hereinafter referred to as the "Site" or as 'interns Ng' interchangeably), a portal of Choice Interns Limited (hereinafter referred to as the Choiceinterns). These terms and conditions of use ('Terms') constitute a legal agreement between you and Interns.ng. Use of this Site constitutes your unconditional acceptance of these Terms herein and by all terms, policies and guidelines incorporated by reference. These Terms apply to your use of this Site, and do not alter in any way the terms or conditions of any other agreement you may have with interns.ng, its subsidiaries or affiliates. If you are using the Site on behalf of any entity, you further represent and warrant that you are authorized to accept these Terms on such entity's behalf, and that such entity agrees to indemnify interns.ng for violations of these Terms. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this Site.Any individual and organisation wanting to make use of Site to post internships/jobs (hereinafter referred to as the 'internships') for self or for an organisation he/she represents is referred to as 'Recruiter' or 'Recruiters' as context may demand.Any individual wanting to make use of Site to apply to Jobs listed on interns.ng, is referred to as 'Intern' or 'Interns' as context may demand.

Registration Data and Account Security

In consideration of your use of the Site, you agree to: (a) provide accurate, current and complete information about you as may be prompted by any registration forms on the Site ('Registration Data'); (b) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data, and any other information you provide to Interns.ng, to keep it accurate, current and complete; (c) maintain the security of your password and identification; (d) notify interns.ng immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security; (e) accept all responsibility for any and all activities that occur under your account; and (f) accept all risks of unauthorized access to the Registration Data and any other information you provide to interns.ng. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details on how we collect, store, use, and retain your data on the Site.

Most Important Terms & Conditions for Recruiters

interns.ng does NOT allow

  1. Training programs and any such program where Applicants are expected to pay a security deposit or an admission fee. To charge money in any form (including test fee, security deposit, documentation fee, etc.) from the Applicants for offering internships is strictly prohibited.
  2. Modelling Internships.
  3. Network Level Marketing (NLM) jobs/internships where applicants/individuals have to use their personal connections and personal social media accounts to promote a business.
  4. Any Internship where there is a possibility of an Applicant consuming alcohol or smoking or inducing others to do so, as the majority of our users are underage.
  5. Individuals or organizations promoting explicit religious content, a particular religious personality or a sect, etc. are not allowed to post Internships on interns.ng.
  6. Businesses promoting or dealing in gambling, porn, and other prohibited/illegal/age-inappropriate activities.
  7. Third-party internship listing. You can post internships only for the organization that you directly work for. Recruiting agencies or any third-party agencies are authorized to post internships on their clients' behalf only after sharing the client's confirmation via email/authorization letters.
  8. Any internship where there is a possibility of an Applicant promoting betting or activities not suitable for people under 18 years of age such as Rummy, Poker, etc.
  9. Any freelancing opportunity.
  10. Recruiters to offer different profiles to applicants than the advertised one.
  11. Organizations to entrust applicants with the task of opening bank accounts on behalf of the Organization as part of the shortlisting process.
  12. Recruiters to ask applicants to sell/promote their products/services as part of the shortlisting process.
  13. Recruiters ask applicants for personal documents like BVN, ATM pins etc, Card details at the shortlisting stage.

Communication policy

For opt-in For a user to receive our weekly newsletter, student/employer digests and/or any other marketing communication from us over email; Interns.ng follows a double opt-in policy where after submitting your email address you need to verify it by clicking on a verification link that we would send to you over given email address. Until the email is verified, you would not receive the newsletter or any marketing communication from us.

For opt-out Marketing/Digests/Newsletter: Every newsletter and promotional communication from Interns.ng contains an 'Unsubscribe' link that you can click on to stop receiving any future newsletters and promotional content from us on your email. It may take upto 7 days for your unsubscription request to be processed. Transactional: We require to send users transactional communication as this is required for proper functioning of our service. If you wish to discontinue receiving any transactional communication from interns.ng, write to us at interns.ng.

Cookies and pixel tags

We and third parties with whom we partner, may use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags etc. to collect information regarding your use of interns.ng and third party websites. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer that enables us to remember you (for example, as a registered user) and your actions when you visit our website. This helps us remember your preferences and searches, improve your experience (for example, by keeping you logged in), customize content according to your preferences and perform analytics, and assist with security and administrative functions. Cookies may be persistent or stored only during an individual session ,as necessary. A pixel tag is a tiny graphic with a unique identifier embedded invisibly in an email and may be used to track whether the email has been opened and for other analytics. Most modern browsers will allow you to disable some/all cookies for any website. However, this is not recommended and doing so may interfere with normal functioning of interns.ng. If you do not turn cookies off, please make sure you logout when you finish using a shared computer.

Children

Interns.ng is not intended for children under 15 years of age. If you are less than 15 years old at the time of your first visit to interns.ng, you are prohibited from using the website further entirely on your own. You may do so under parental guidance. However, please note that we have no way of determining your age when you visit our website or whether you have parental supervision available or not. We do not intend to and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15. However, since we do not collect information on a user's birth date and proof of same, there is no foolproof way for us to ensure the same.

Security

We have implemented generally accepted industry standards in terms of security measures to protect your information on interns.ng. The third party payment service providers (payment gateways) are all validated as compliant with the payment card industry standard. While we try our best to safeguard information, there may be factors beyond our control that may result in unwanted disclosure of information. We assume no liability or responsibility for disclosure of your information due to causes beyond our control. In order to keep personal information secure, you must not share your password or other security information (for example, unique keys) of your interns.ng account with anyone. If you are using a shared computer, please make sure you logout after every use. If we receive instructions using your email and password, we will consider that the instructions have been authorized by you.

NDPR Entitlements

In line with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), the following rights are granted to all Nigerian data subjects:

  • Right to Information — Individuals have the right to be informed about the purpose of collecting and processing their personal data, as well as their rights under the NDPR.
  • Right of Access — Individuals are entitled to access the personal information a data controller holds about them.
  • Right to Rectification — Individuals can request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten") — Individuals can request the deletion of their personal data under lawful and legitimate circumstances.
  • Right to Restrict Processing — Individuals can request the restriction of processing their personal data, especially where accuracy or legality is contested.
  • Right to Object — Individuals have the right to object to the processing of their personal data, including for purposes such as direct marketing.

No Guarantees

While this Privacy Policy states our standards for maintenance of data and we will make efforts to meet them, we are not in a position to guarantee these standards. There may be factors beyond our control that may result in disclosure of data. As a consequence, we disclaim any warranties or representations relating to maintenance or nondisclosure of data.

We may make changes to this Policy from time to time. We may notify you of substantial changes to this Policy either by posting a prominent announcement on our Services and/or by sending a message to the e-mail address you have provided to us.
